Arenite was provisionally offered 4 (four) blocks offshore Kent and 2 (two) blocks offshore Northumberland in the 28th UKCS Offshore Licensing Round announced on 06 November 2014.
The offshore Kent acreage consists of blocks 56/22, 56/23, 56/27 & 56/28 applied for by Arenite Petroleum Limited (100%).
The offshore Northumberland acreage consists of blocks 34/28 & 34/29 applied for by Arenite Petroleum Limited (100%).
These provisional awards mark the first assets for Arenite Petroleum Limited. The initial licence terms include a two-year period in which to convert from “Promote” status to “Traditional” licence status by committing to a further work programme thereby securing the licence for the full four-year initial term.
